The fam knows not to expect much communication out of me on valentines, but I usually make a post about it somewhere after the fact.

we went to lunch at bonefish grill in Hoover and then played ping pong. For dinner, Chris cooked steak and cheesy potatoes. We also had broccoli and cake.
Pretty simple this year. and fun :)

Games!!!
This weekend, Chris and I went to Atlanta Game Fest and it was an absolute blast. I played 13+ games and really liked them all, but I wanted to highlight a few.
Best game played this weekend:
Vasco Da Gama All I can say is wow.
Most innovative concept:
Tales of the Arabian Nights It's like a choose your own adventure book in board game. The only problem is that it gets a little long after a while.
Prettiest:
GemBlo Yes, it's a knock-off of blockus, but it's more difficult and how can you possibly turn down a chance to play with shiny purple jewels?
Funniest:
Funny Friends This was a little more random than I like, but it truly is a funny concept and created a lot of table talk that made even me blush
Best Time Ever had by anyone:
Playing Space Alert at 2 am in the main convention room with a laptop being used for the audio. The noise from the other games made it even more chaotic because it was harder to hear, the combination of sleep deprivation and massive amounts of caffeine in 2 of the crew members made for some INTERESTING results, and we often had an audience. Oh, and giving new crew members a 15 minute crash course and throwing them into the game is quite possibly the most amazing thing ever.... They might royally screw up the first game, but the second play through, they always get it.
